Your nervous system was—and wasn’t—built for this. Let's talk.
The Oscars were this week. While I didn’t watch, I saw an amusing reel that said something like, “We all deserve an Oscar for getting through our days and acting like everything is normal!”
Can you relate?
What’s feeling hardest for you right now, or what’s one thing you know would help but feels just out of reach? Hit reply and let me know (really asking - I'll read every response).
Trying to go about your day and act like everything’s fine, while the world feels like it’s on fire - your anxiety on a low burn (or maybe a rolling boil), your brain foggy, your body tense, and the overwhelm palpable - is no small feat.
I know so many beautiful humans feeling this way. Pulled in every direction - wanting to activate, resist, help the vulnerable, make change.
Or just wanting to get through work, connect with family and loved ones, do the basics of life.
Some are pushing through, contributing in every way they can - but in a way that's not sustainable.
Some collapse on the couch with Netflix, reach for a soothing compulsion, or feel too overwhelmed to move forward.
Some are caught in the exhausting cycle of alternating between the two.
We're not designed to live like this 24/7
Our bodies and nervous systems are brilliantly designed to respond to crisis and emergency - but they’re not built to sustain this level of activation all the time.
I’m leading a workshop in the next couple of weeks that I'm so excited to tell you about.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you.
What’s keeping you up at night?
What’s happening with your nervous system?
What kind of support are you longing for?
Reply and let me know - I'll read every word. And if I have a resource or a simple shift that might help, I’ll share it with you.
The world is extra activated.
And the world needs you well.
Resilient. Self-regulated. Able to move forward in the way that's right for you.
With love and many blessings,
Kelly
